kay~

its the annual "fireworks" day again.
this time round its the 42th year.
yea, i do agree that we hav somethings to celebrate, to be happy about.
our small little red dot has accomplished plenty of things, within a short time span of 42 years.
but then again maybe its our government.
what, exactly, did we, as a citizen, did for singapore?
how did we lend a helping hand to the growth of singapore?
yes, by increasing our only resource (humans, skilled)
by working ( contributing to the economy )
but other than that, what else?

i feel that we all are not doing enough.
although we are already considered a 1st world country today, it doesnt mean that we would still be one after 20 or even 10 years later.
in this fast moving world today, we have to walk two steps ahead of others, in order to stay or keep up in position.
as the saying goes, "time waits for no man"
no one is going to slow down or stop and say " hey singapore, u have to develop urself more"
in this reality game, either u keep up or u lose the game.
the youngsters today are being desentistized ( donno if its the rite spelling)
will they be able to uphold the future of our country, progress as a nation ?
its all too soon to tell yet.
maybe for a start, i would study real hard for my upcoming promos.
after all, we are the onli resource that singapore has.

On a lighter note, wouldnt it be nice if we all can have fireworks to celebrate our birthday.
after all, everyone is equal isnt it? so we should hav fireworks for our birthdays too.
then people would not gather and sqeeze together to catch the rare display of sparks.
i hate crowds.
especially those with alot of those people around.(no offence)
but u would seriously think that they are all out there to take advantage of gals.
its not their country's birthday. they don hav to be so entu.
(maybe they just wanna join in the festive, and i maligned them)

sometimes i think its just realli cute that there are alot of weirdos around.
some are weird in good ways, while some are scary.
for instance, while on our way to marina sq today, we met this little old lady wif her husband.
she started talking to us, asking how xue and jh got the star shaped lights.then she happily wished us a "happy national day"
then she cheerfully went back to her husband and told him that we wished each other a "happy national day"
lolz.
we went down the escalator together and she talked to us somemore.
she then told us to study hard and make our country proud.
AND she started telling us TO BE WARY OF GUYS.
COS SOME OF THEM JUS WANNA HAV SEX WIF US
WE GOT TO OPEN OUR EYES BIG!
i totalli agree wif her on tis.
lolz but its kinda weird u noe, to hav someone coming up to u and tell u to study hard and be wary of guys.
like some kind of life lessons.
i felt abit touched then.
so that was life.
full of the unexpected and we get lessons along the way.(u noe wat i meant? )
oh and did i mentioned that she said we are all pretty gals ? lolz *winkz*

nevertheless, a fulfilling day :)
